Im sorry its been so long since i posted, I hadnt realized i havent posted in 4 months .. So sorry. Anyways recap. In january emery had a brief stay back in the hospital. My husband was on duty and i got up for emerys 4 am feeding and heard a bit of wheezing. I was instantly worried. I had been sick so i felt very guilty that she had caught whatever I had. I took her to the ER , after hours of waiting in the ER, and her x rays. She was finally admitted into peds clinic. She was quarantined incase she had RSV which they thought she did but the test takes days to get back. The final diagnoses was bronchiolitis and whooping cough she had to do breathing treatments in the hospital for 3 days and then came home. I cried when they hooked her up to the monitors again it was like, ugh THIS AGAIN! She had a bad cough for a few days. Then it went away. The doctors said that i was smart for bringing her in so fast, because it could have gotten really bad really fast.
In february,Emery started to have colic, it was horrible she couldnt fall asleep unless she was in a bouncer or swing something in motion. We bought the most amazing thing though COLIC CALM.. it is completely homeopathic gripe water it has charcoal in it so it absorbs the gas. That stuff was a miracle, within a few minutes of giving it to her she would relax sometimes release a bowel movement and fall asleep. At the end of the month we went to ohio to visit the family, It was awesome I was so preparing for a horrible plane ride of a baby screaming, especially since she had collic. We decided to have a lay over to make things easier. So each plane ride was about 2 1/2 hours long. She was amazing she slept through both plane rides. Everyone was giving us compliments on how well she behaved. Being home was awesome it was the first time my dad met her because my mom came and saw her after i gave birth. Also, the first time j's parents had met her. Ill of my nephews and nieces were so excited to have another cousin even asia who was the baby but is now 6. We stayed at my parents house and it was so funny, everytime we would leave the house my mom would be like "do you have an extra pacifier, and diapers... etc" i had to remind her that ive been a mom for the past 4 months without her help. It was sweet. My dad would watch her so we could go out and have fun. Since he does free lance work he doesnt have a set time to be up unlike my mom , so he would sleep out on the couch with her, it was the sweetest thing. They immidiatly bonded. Right towards the end of the trip Emery started sleeping through the night which was amazing although we knew it wouldnt last when we would go back home, the time zone would screw everything up. lol
In march, I found out emery weighed 13 lbs WOW, oh and i got the whole 17,500 helicopter bill taken care of.. big load off my chest.. No way could i afford that, the insurance should have covered it, but since the idiot who kept trying to call me while emery was in the nicu never ever answered when i called her back. They billed me. Honestly, my daughter was just born and is in the nicu which i had no service in, and this heliport medical transport team is calling me 3 x a day to get my insurance info which is just my husbands social since im military . I called back everyday and said "Listen, im military you must know this since you picked my daughter up from ONE NAVAL HOSPITAL, AND DROPPED HER OFF AT ANOTHER" My husbands social is our insurance policy number and i am not leaving that on your voicemail, so call me back, and then they never would. When i explained this to the lady trying to get it all figured out she got all bitchy with me explaing well what do you think she would do with his social. I responded with " i dont know, but in this day and age your an idiot if you think im leaving my husbands full name birthdate and social on your machine. She then told me well its taken care of , and hung up on me. NICE.
We started going to church back in january, its called NORTH COAST CHURCH, probably the most awesome church ever look it up , its really cool totaly laid back live rock music and services at all different times with child care. They always tell us how much they adore Emery. Although the last sunday in march i got pretty pissed at them. I dropped emery off like i always do with her diaper bag, well aparently they couldnt find the diapers in the bag which , were in the zip pouch in the center pocker where they always are so they put her in a newborn diaper when they changed her mind you she is in size 2 actually about to wear size 3 that babies got back. When we got home from church she was whining im like well they just fed you your not hungry. i tried to hold her and she just kept crying. I didnt bother to check the diaper because they told me they had just changed it, and emery isnt one to cry for no reason. Finally about 20 min later i was changing her into pj's and i realize why she was crying. It was so tight it had cut into her thighs and tummy. I felt so horrible i started to cry. I was so mad. I got over it pretty fast, but i was still upset. I kinda snapped at them the next week proceeding to tell them 3 times where her diapers were.
That brings us to now,
well emery is now cracking up laughing when we do silly things. I love it , it makes me see that she is on the right developmental track. She absolutely loves to stand were pretty sure that she will walk before she crawls, since she absolutely hates being on her belly for more then 5 minutes. She will be 6 months old at the end of this month and its crazy how fast the time went by. I look at pictures of her from weeks and months ago and its astonishing. Were getting excited for our MOD walk , on april 25th her in san diego. If you would like to donate to team emery it would be so appreciated, i even have 1 dollar donations on there, So you can show your support without going broke. We all know how tough the times are but its so important so here is the link for our team. Any size donation is greatly appreciated.
